About The Position

Purcell Tire and Service Center is hiring an experienced commercial service technician to perform tire services for commercial, farm, and over-the-road (OTR) vehicles. The work is performed on customers’ property and through service calls, helping truck drivers get back on the road. The role is physically demanding and may involve after-hours work. Earnings vary based on factors including experience, location, hours worked, overtime, after-hours service, productivity, and other applicable compensation. The position is safety-sensitive. Purcell Tire conducts drug screenings that test for THC and other drugs under applicable state safety-sensitive exceptions, citing the potential for injury or death if tires are improperly installed or safety-related mechanical issues are not properly communicated to customers.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of commercial tire experience.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Three-year clean motor vehicle record with no DUIs.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training, and professional growth.
• Perform commercial, farm, and OTR tire replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace tires.
• Perform service calls as scheduled by the service manager.
• Keep the service vehicle fully stocked.
• Perform basic maintenance on the service vehicle.
• Perform basic facility and shop cleanup and organization.
• Look for opportunities to improve products and services.
• Perform other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.
