Service Tech (Experienced)

About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced service technician committed to customer service excellence in the petroleum industry. Technicians receive updated training and certifications to support career advancement and work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, experienced technicians, and trainees. The role may include assisting a trainee with training and certifications. This position does not follow a typical 8–5 schedule; hours may vary based on workload and customer needs. Work includes local travel and outdoor service in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR equipment.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees; may assist trainees with training and certifications.
