About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an entry-level Service Tech Trainee to train and certify in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of customers’ petroleum equipment. The role serves customers at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities. Required training sessions may be outside the employee’s home area; the company pays for training, lodging, and meals. Hours may vary, with at least 40 hours of work per week and overtime. Most calls are completed during the day shift. After training, the technician joins an on-call rotation. The position includes daily local travel and outdoor work in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Complete petroleum service calls for customers at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
Complete service call paperwork after each call.
Communicate with the service dispatcher and manager.
Explain technical issues to customers in a non-technical manner.
Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and POS systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
