About The Position

At El Pollo Loco, the Service Team Member helps create a welcoming and memorable guest experience by greeting customers, assembling orders, preparing food, and supporting restaurant cleanliness. The role ensures “Best in Class” customer service throughout the customer experience, processes orders efficiently and accurately, suggests additional items, and handles payment transactions professionally. Team members work with restaurant colleagues and management to meet operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.

Requirements

Previous customer service or food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
Prepare food items in compliance with company recipes and procedures, which may include assembling menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa or dressing, and packing condiments.
Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, accurately, and on time.
Use suggestive selling to improve the customer experience and increase sales.
Handle payment and cash transactions accurately and professionally.
Help maintain cleanliness.
