About The Position

Louisiana Cat is seeking a Service Shop Supervisor for their Reserve, Louisiana location. This role involves coordinating service department activities to ensure prompt customer service by guiding, mentoring, and providing resources to technicians, thereby driving accountability and productivity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3+ years of management experience
• 5+ years of experience as an automotive or equipment Shop Technician
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills including MS Office such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience with Caterpillar equipment or equipment product lines preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of work throughout the service shop with a sense of urgency.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
• Organize, prioritize, schedule, and assign work in the department to optimize department productivity daily, in conjunction with the Service Manager and Coordinator.
• Review job specifics with technicians at the beginning of each job, highlighting safety, quality, and time requirements.
• Sign off on all JSA’s in the service shop.
• Monitor department work in progress to ensure jobs are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Stay current on service, repair, and modification procedures for all assigned product brands and models.
• Perform service and repair activities as needed to ensure department productivity.
• Assist the service manager with customer relations issues.
• Provide technical support and assistance for all department activities.
• Provide on-the-job technical training to department technicians and recommend formal training activities.
• Oversee the inventory and maintenance of department tools, equipment, and supplies.
