Service Sales Representative

Hoffman & Hoffman•Raleigh, NC

About The Position

The Service Sales Representative drives new sales for Hoffman Mechanical Solutions by identifying customer needs and providing solutions that address customer issues while generating referral-based sales. The representative presents proposals at customer facilities, follows the company’s selling process and uses approved presentation materials, and educates potential customers on the value of the company’s services. The role requires professional conduct consistent with the company’s integrity and customer-care standards, strong customer relationships, and responsive service. The representative works both in the field and from the office, keeps scheduled customer appointments, participates in sales meetings and training, and applies training in customer interactions. After sales calls, the representative transfers complete job information to operations—including photographs, notes, drawings, and required reporting—and remains available to answer questions. The role also includes returning to completed jobs for quality checks and referral development. Performance is assessed through revenue goals, self-generated leads and referrals, customer satisfaction, lead-generation practices, use of company technology, documentation quality, and error-free sales. Hoffman Mechanical Solutions is a division of Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc., focused on innovative HVAC solutions through superior design and customer service. The company is 100% employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The ESOP is a company-paid retirement benefit, in addition to 401(k) options for employee contributions. The position involves inspecting customer sites, including commercial spaces. Step ladders and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required. Proper personal protective equipment may be required in commercial environments. Occasional exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, dusty or confined spaces, and loud environments is described.
