Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in commercial HVAC industry.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of all types of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Computer literacy including strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, internet research and other software applications.
  • Heavy emphasis on organizational skills with attention to detail, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player and self-starter.
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High level of confidentiality of company projects and policies.
  • High level of professional conduct both internally and externally with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and close preventive maintenance service contracts and service projects for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Maintain and manage existing service client accounts that may be assigned.
  • Produce detailed estimates for each proposal outlining anticipated costs, labor requirements, subcontracts, and materials.
  • Develop proposals that clearly and professionally outline the proposed scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain forecasts for sales and billings.
  • Review all contracts, subcontracts, invoices, and purchase orders issued for all projects sold.
  • Research bid opportunities to identify work suited to MEC2.
  • Assist with strategic planning throughout the year to foster the growth of the office.
  • Facilitate job kick-off meetings and surveys with client and MEC² technician.
  • Assist and coordinate with project managers for all service-related projects that require utilization of the construction department assets.
  • Interact with internal support personnel as well as field technicians.
  • Offer input on service operational issues for continuous improvement of our product offering.
  • Utilize company equipment, information, and other assets for the sole benefit of MEC2.
  • Maintain and store on company servers all proposals, estimates, quote logs, and customers contact information.
  • Represent the company at industry functions and forums throughout the year.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, ethical, and moral manner that reflects well upon yourself and MEC2.
