About The Position

The Service Representative provides direct customer service by meeting customers’ banking needs, accurately processing service transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures, and identifying sales and referral opportunities. The role supports customer retention by delivering a professional, positive, confidential, and efficient banking experience. This position is based at the Brookfield Branch, 200 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT, and is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

Ability to process banking transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
Working knowledge of USB products and services sold in the branch.
Ability to use the relevant tracking system to report and track sales and service activities.

Responsibilities

Promptly acknowledge customers and focus attention on them, setting aside other work when needed.
Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and negotiable items such as bank checks and money orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain customer confidentiality and privacy, and respond to or refer customer concerns to supervisors as appropriate.
Set clear expectations when customer follow-up is required and deliver as promised.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor and contribute to successful customer retention.
Follow bank policies and procedures and accurately balance TCD and/or TCR as necessary.
Promote USB products and services and help customers understand how they may meet their financial goals through branch sales and service processes.
Maintain working knowledge of USB products and services sold in the branch and awareness of products and services offered by cross-line-of-business partners.
Generate quality referrals to business partners, exceed individual sales goals, and assist the team in meeting sales goals.
Use the relevant tracking system to report and track sales and service activities.
