About The Position

The Service Porter performs a variety of duties related to vehicle maintenance and service at AutoNation Toyota Arapahoe. The role includes assisting with service write-ups, preparing and inspecting vehicles before they are returned to customers, transporting people and vehicles, cleaning vehicles, maintaining the dealership lot and facilities, and supporting shop operations. This is an on-site hourly role with a stated starting pay of $17.50 per hour and a posted pay range of $15.50–$26.51 per hour. The position will remain open until filled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.

Nice To Haves

• 6–12 months of previous work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with service write-ups and tagging customer cars and trucks.
• Remove protective coverings and identification tags before returning completed vehicles to customers.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damage before returning them to customers, and immediately report any damage.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform deliveries as required.
• Clean the interiors and exteriors of new and used vehicles.
• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving vehicles as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Return vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant.
• Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to storage.
• Pick up parts from the Parts Department.
• Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive.
• Maintain the building and grounds as needed.
• Assist with shop cleanup and deliveries when needed.
