About The Position

Honda of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Service Porter to support the service department and help provide a respectful, hospitality-focused guest experience. The role involves moving and staging vehicles, maintaining vehicle and facility cleanliness, greeting guests, and assisting service advisors and technicians to keep the service workflow moving. No prior automotive experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The position is presented as an entry point into automotive with potential career growth into technician, parts, service advisor, or service leadership roles.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to remain on their feet and stay active throughout the shift.
• Reliable and punctual, with pride in doing the job well.
• Able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests.
• A hospitality mindset and care for guests’ vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Move and stage vehicles between lot locations, service bays, and the service drive safely and efficiently.
• Greet guests on the service drive with a friendly, professional presence.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles in the service department.
• Keep the service drive, lot, and common areas clean, organized, and ready for guests.
• Assist service advisors and technicians with vehicle movement and staging to maintain workflow.
• Perform vehicle washing and detailing as needed to support delivery readiness.
• Perform general tasks that support the service department’s operations.
