Requirements

  • Three or more years of leadership experience in heavy-duty truck, fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or related service operations.
  • Strong understanding of diesel truck service operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and departmental profitability.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience using dealership management systems and service software.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Shop Foreman, or equivalent leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the Service Department.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top-performing technicians, supervisors, and service personnel.
  • Drive technician productivity, efficiency, proficiency, and profitability.
  • Ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through exceptional communication and service.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor sales, gross profit, and key performance indicators.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and manufacturer standards.
  • Partner with dealership leadership to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer satisfaction, and overall department performance.
