Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years of previous restaurant experience required
  • Management experience preferred
  • Successful completion of corporate’s 6-week training program required
  • Achieve a passing score on the ServSafe exam or possess a valid ServSafe certification
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times

Responsibilities

  • Hires and trains FOH cafe staff
  • Organizes and oversees FOH staff schedules
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles progressive discipline of FOH employees in accordance with cafe policy
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the cafe and dining experience
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Ensures all pertinent staff members have a current sanitation & safety certification
  • Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies when necessary
  • Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts
  • Prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation as requested by General Manager
  • Performs other duties and support functions as assigned
