About The Position

Join our team as a Service Engineer in Sandusky, OH, where you’ll deliver hands-on support for Dell server and data center systems. This contract opportunity places you at the forefront of technology, with direct impact on enterprise infrastructure uptime and performance. You’ll work independently on-site while collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, making this a dynamic role for technical experts ready to tackle real-world challenges.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years supporting servers or data center hardware in enterprise, field, or customer environments
• Proficient with server components: CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs
• Comfortable with Linux or similar operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Able to work independently on-site and communicate clearly with customers
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and work flexible/on-call schedules

Nice To Haves

• Dell or other vendor certifications
• Experience supporting AI platforms or emerging technologies

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid on-site support for Dell server and data center hardware to ensure minimal downtime
• Execute hardware maintenance, including server builds, swaps, part replacements, and firmware updates
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systems, escalating complex problems as needed
• Perform both reactive and preventive maintenance following documented procedures
• Collaborate with customers and technical teams during service events to ensure effective communication and swift resolution
• Document all service activities, contributing to shared knowledge bases and best practices
• Participate in on-call rotations and offer extended coverage as required
