About The Position

Empire Truck Sales, LLC, a large Freightliner/Western Star heavy truck dealership in the Southeast, is seeking a Service Clerk to assist its service team. The role calls for strong customer communication skills, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly. The Service Clerk supports service department operations by managing purchase orders, work orders, records, and customer inquiries. Training will be provided on warranty claims and dealership payroll. The position is based at the Pensacola dealership and is full-time, with a day shift and no travel.

Requirements

Strong customer communication skills; excellent professional and interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter who learns quickly.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Able to solve problems independently.
Able to work scheduled shifts.
GED or high school diploma.
Pass required pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug test, after offer acceptance.

Nice To Haves

Dealership experience or experience in a related industry; Service Department and/or automotive retail experience is highly preferred.
Mechanical knowledge of automotive or diesel repair.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and other web-based programs.

Responsibilities

Generate purchase orders.
Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman and maintain control of them until they are closed and invoiced.
Maintain Service Department files and records.
Update customer profiles using information from customer work orders.
Help coworkers and assist with tasks outside the listed duties as needed.
Handle internal and external customer inquiries directed to the Service Department.
Receive training on warranty claims and dealership payroll.
