About The Position

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Under close supervision from department supervisors or lead persons, this entry-level position provides daily cleaning of assigned work areas according to a work schedule. Employees also handle emergency cleaning calls, such as spills or requests to refill paper or chemical supplies. Work schedules are expected to be completed thoroughly by the end of each shift.

The position requires using the proper cleaning chemicals for specific tasks and never mixing chemicals or placing them in an inappropriately labeled bottle. The employee may move furniture, relocate beds, and stock supplies as requested by a supervisor. The employee must be aware of pertinent Right to Know information and proper fire safety response, and complete supervisor-requested tasks in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned facility areas using the seven-step cleaning procedure: high dusting; dry mopping the floor; damp wiping horizontal surfaces and spot cleaning walls; cleaning the bathroom; emptying trash and replacing the liner; wet mopping the floor; and self-inspecting the work.
• Complete scheduled work thoroughly by the end of each shift.
• Use the correct cleaning chemical for each task, and do not mix chemicals or put them in an inappropriately labeled bottle.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests within five minutes of receiving instructions.
• Move furniture, relocate beds, and stock supplies as requested by a supervisor.
• Be aware of pertinent Right to Know information and proper fire safety response.
• Complete supervisor-requested tasks in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.
