About The Position

The Service Associate provides highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests by bagging groceries, offering carry-out service to vehicles, retrieving and organizing shopping carts, performing bottle-related tasks, and completing janitorial duties as needed. The role helps ensure that the shift contributes to the store’s financial best interests and completes other assigned duties in a timely manner. Associates may also be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.

Requirements

Good oral communication skills.
Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Use appropriate bagging supplies and techniques when handling guests’ purchases.
Empty bottle bins and clean bottle machines and the bottle return area.
Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts.
Take groceries to customers’ vehicles and load them.
Learn and use knowledge of product locations in the store.
Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
Work independently when needed.
Perform cleaning duties and other assigned work in a timely manner.
Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
