About The Position

The Deli Associate prepares, fries, packages, displays, and stocks deli products, working independently while supporting the store’s financial interests. The role follows company guidelines for guest experience, safety, and food safety. The associate may also be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs. This position is based at 7455 Mineral Point Rd, Madison, Wisconsin 53717. It involves a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and possible exposure to outside weather conditions. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce deli products according to the production planner.
Package and label deli products according to the program plan.
Merchandise deli products according to the flight plan and merchandising expectations.
Stock the backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
Work with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
Notify the Deli Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Communicate completed tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
Follow all personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
