Service and Sales Representative - Muhlenberg, PA
About The Position
The Service and Sales Representative (SSR) delivers exceptional service as the primary contact for members regarding account status and escalations. The role assists members with setting up business, consumer, and IRA accounts; resolves account concerns; provides general credit union information; and intakes and processes loan applications, including residential mortgage applications. The SSR also rotates through branch duties, including Member Service Representative activities, supports senior branch account specialists and MSR staff with member approvals and questions, and handles notary and Signature Guarantee requests. This is a full-time, on-site position at the Muhlenberg Branch in Temple, Pennsylvania. Regular shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The stated compensation range is $23.00 to $30.00 per hour. Hiring rates may depend on directly related experience, education, geographic location, or special skills.
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required; a passing verbal language-proficiency assessment is required during onboarding.
- An associate degree and 1–3 years of experience are required, or 3–5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Obtain a notary license within one year of accepting the role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and PCs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in customer service, retail, banking, or financial services.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with members and serve as their first point of contact.
- Open and manage consumer, business, and IRA accounts.
- Support loan application intake, including mortgage applications.
- Resolve account questions and escalations and provide general credit union information.
- Recommend products aligned with member needs and work toward individual and team sales goals.
- Support branch operations, including teller and Member Service Representative coverage and transactions.
- Provide notary and Signature Guarantee services.
- Assist senior branch account specialists and Member Service Representative staff with member approvals, questions, and concerns.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance in transactions and collaborate with the team.
