About The Position

St. Dominic Villa, an Illuminus Community in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, provides long-term skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation services for older adults. The Service Aide supports a welcoming, resident-centered community by assisting with dining activities and keeping resident rooms and common areas supplied with necessary items and reading or activity materials. The role promotes dignity, respect, confidentiality, and a positive organizational image while following safety, infection prevention, body mechanics, equipment-use, and organizational policies. The position may be available full-time, part-time, or PRN, with scheduling options that vary according to community needs. Shifts may be eight hours and may include a scheduled weekend rotation. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a Certified Nursing Aide Program that starts within the month of hire; training support is provided.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.
• Ability to relate well to residents, patients, clients, family members, and personal representatives.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Promote dignity, respect, confidentiality, resident-centered care, and a positive organizational image.
• Support dining activities, including escorting residents and distributing meals, beverages, bibs, and other needed items.
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas by stocking personal care and other necessary supplies and providing activities and reading materials.
• Follow safety, infection prevention, body mechanics, equipment-use, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with all disciplines and complete required training.
