About The Position

AutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering new and used vehicles, customer financing, parts, and maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor at Mercedes-Benz Fremont, you will be part of a nationwide team servicing customers and building long-term loyalty. You will act as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers in a service department, explaining technician recommendations in clear language and identifying opportunities to help keep customers’ vehicles safe. The role involves working actively in the service lane and using technology, automotive knowledge, and communication skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index goals.
• Greet customers when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan required ongoing vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare customer repair orders, including transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely work completion.
• Update customers on vehicle status according to their preferred communication approach.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to help customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
