About The Position

As a Service Advisor at AutoNation, you will work in a service department as the liaison between Service Technicians and customers. You will explain technician recommendations in clear language, identify appropriate upsell opportunities that help keep vehicles safe, and take an active role in the service lane. You will use automotive knowledge, communication skills, and technology to deliver an exceptional customer experience and build customer loyalty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index targets.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner upon arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, vehicle walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate frequently with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Update customers on vehicle status according to their communication preferences.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience that drives loyalty.
