About The Position

AutoNation is a large automotive retailer with dealerships nationwide, offering new and used vehicles, customer financing, parts, and maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor at Mercedes-Benz of Hunt Valley, you will serve as the liaison between service technicians and customers. Working in the service department and service lane, you will explain technician recommendations in clear language and identify opportunities for additional services that help keep customers’ vehicles safe. You will use automotive knowledge, communication skills, and technology to support the service experience and customer loyalty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index targets.
• Greet customers when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, vehicle walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders that include cost and time estimates, with full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on vehicle status according to their preferred method of communication.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Explain service technician recommendations to customers and suggest appropriate additional services.
