About The Position

As a Service Advisor at BMW Fremont, you’ll be part of AutoNation’s nationwide service team. You’ll act as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers, working in the service lane and explaining technician recommendations in easy-to-understand language. You’ll also identify appropriate opportunities to recommend additional services that help keep customers’ vehicles safe. The role combines customer communication, automotive knowledge, and technology to support a positive service experience and build customer loyalty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and the targeted customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer information, a vehicle walk-around, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Produce repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate frequently with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers about vehicle status according to their preferred communication method.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop superior product knowledge to help customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
