About The Position

AutoNation is a large automotive retailer with dealerships nationwide, offering vehicles, financing, parts, and maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor at Laurel BMW of Westmont, you will help customers and service technicians communicate effectively, working actively in the service lane and using technology and automotive knowledge to identify service opportunities. You will explain technicians’ recommendations in easy-to-understand language and suggest relevant services that help keep customers’ vehicles safe.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index targets.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan for ongoing vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers about vehicle status according to their communication preferences.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop superior product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience and build customer loyalty.
