About The Position

Suburban CDJR Farmington Hills is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their team. This role is crucial for managing the customer experience from start to finish, acting as the primary link between the customer and the automotive technicians. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in service writing, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage repair orders efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair terminology
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required
• Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace

Nice To Haves

• Background as an automotive technician is a plus

Responsibilities

• Initiate service and repair orders based on customer concerns and vehicle performance
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage
• Build accurate repair estimates including labor, parts, and deductibles
• Communicate service needs clearly to both customers and technicians
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process—status, costs, and service timelines
• Administer manufacturer warranties for eligible repairs
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer records
• Promote current service specials and build long-term customer relationships
