About The Position

The Server/Culinary Assistant provides assistance with dietary functions in accordance with established Culinary Operations policies and procedures. The role supports meal service and preparation, maintains sanitary and clean dining and kitchen areas, and provides Platinum Service® to residents, guests, and staff. The position is at Gardens at Terracina Health & Rehabilitation, a transitional and skilled nursing community on the Terracina Senior Living campus. The listed hours are 10:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Food service and/or hospitality experience is preferred. The employee must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

Serve meals that are appetizing in appearance and comply with established portion-control procedures.
Provide Platinum Service® to residents, guests, and staff.
Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures.
Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed.
Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
Set up and prepare food and menus for upcoming meals.
Assist with bussing tables during and after meals.
Check meal trays for accuracy before distribution and ensure appropriate equipment and utensils are included.
Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
Assist with setup and refilling for catering and buffet functions.
Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
Assist with food preparation as requested.
Maintain a clean work area and kitchen, including sweeping and mopping as needed.
Assist with cleaning the dining area and backroom kitchen area as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
