About The Position

The Server is responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and accurate food service to guests. Duties include taking food and beverage orders, serving food and drinks, and processing guest payments. The role also supports restaurant cleanliness, table readiness, food safety, and general guest service.

Team members are expected to contribute to a clean, friendly, well-organized, and safe hotel environment. This includes welcoming guests, responding to concerns with hospitality and urgency, maintaining clean workspaces, completing operational checklists and handover reports accurately, wearing an approved uniform and nametag, and communicating and collaborating professionally with colleagues. Team members may be asked to assist with cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed or perform other job-related duties.

This role requires availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends according to hotel needs. Physical demands include sustained standing, walking, repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions, and carrying supplies and other items. Employees must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English. The position is at 7241 Tres Hermanas Blvd, Odessa, TX 79765.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and clearly and accurately describe food and beverage options.
• Deliver hot, made-to-order items from the kitchen to tables.
• Enter orders into the computer and collect accurate payment using the POS system.
• Prepare coffee and other specialized drinks.
• Clear, clean, and reset dining tables as needed.
• Observe diners and respond to their requests.
• Complete the daily inventory prep sheet and other permitted side work.
• Maintain knowledge of current food and beverage offerings.
• Escort guests to tables as needed.
• Follow food safety and handling procedures, including product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the restaurant and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and available amenities.
• Welcome guests, use their names when possible, and contribute to guest satisfaction.
• Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
• Keep workspaces clean and organized, and assist with cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
• Complete operational checklists accurately and on time, and prepare accurate, timely shift handover reports.
• Wear a clean, approved uniform and nametag and maintain grooming standards.
• Communicate professionally and collaborate with team members.
• Arrive and clock in on time, follow scheduled break and clock-out procedures, and provide sufficient notice when calling out.
• Perform other job-related duties or assignments as directed.
