About The Position

The Server provides dining service to residents and guests in a care community, helping residents select meals, assisting with seating, and building positive relationships. The role supports a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents’ dignity, enjoyment, and companionship.

The Server sets and clears tables; arranges seating; maintains the condition and cleanliness of flatware and glassware; washes dishes and organizes clean dishes; and cleans dining and kitchen areas by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. The role follows safety, sanitation, infection-control, and emergency procedures, communicates proactively with residents and team members, and may assist with special projects or other areas of the building. Attendance at required in-service training and team meetings is part of the role. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.
