About The Position

As a Full-Time Server, you’ll create meaningful dining experiences for residents and contribute to a positive, caring community environment. You’ll work collaboratively, share ideas, and respond thoughtfully to feedback while serving breakfast and lunch and supporting dining-room operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food-handler permits, as required by local ordinances, within two weeks of hire.
• Applicants who are subject to state work-permit requirements must submit the required permit to the community at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and provide a welcoming breakfast and lunch experience.
• Carry trays; serve drinks and meals; explain the menu; take orders; and anticipate residents’ needs.
• Clear and reset tables, handle dishes carefully, fill and refill water carafes, and set tables before meals.
• Vacuum carpets, clean the salad bar, and complete other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room-service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to residents’ comments or concerns, and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed.
• Complete support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
