About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join their team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming dining environment, preparing tables and meals, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years old, able to communicate in English at an 8th-grade proficiency, possess a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring a criminally cleared background.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prep tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite.
- Observe and report resident absences from meals.
