About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This role is part-time and involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years of age, possess strong English communication skills, have a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for meals, and roll silverware.
- Understand that successful meal service depends on preparation.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits, changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
