About The Position
Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is hiring a temporary full-time Server for its Orafo team. The assignment starts at three months, with the possibility of extension based on the hotel's business needs. The role provides food and beverage service to local guests, international travelers, and building residents, creating customized experiences while maintaining Four Seasons' high service standards. Servers may also assist with other Food & Beverage duties when needed, including during heavy volume or in a colleague's absence.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of Food & Beverage experience and prior experience as a server (listed as preferred qualifications).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, large-team environment.
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Strong oral presentation skills.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray.
- Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Take guest orders and describe food and beverage menu selections, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods.
- Communicate orders and special requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotel's point-of-sale system, and coordinate food and beverage timing.
- Check completed kitchen orders against the original guest order and deliver items promptly to the guest's table or lounge chair while ensuring proper food quality.
- Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond promptly and appropriately to concerns and requests.
- Adapt service to guests and create customized experiences for local guests, international travelers, and building residents.
- Accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, and settle voided checks or complimentary meals appropriately.
- Break down, clean, and set up tables and chairs.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
- Assist with Food & Beverage responsibilities and duties as needed, including during heavy volume or in a colleague's absence.
