About The Position
Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is hiring a Temporary Full-Time Bartender for an assignment starting at three months, with the possibility of extension based on the hotel's business needs. The role is part of a luxury hotel team focused on excellent service, authentic guest experiences, creativity, and innovation. The bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, provides attentive service and beverage recommendations, processes guest orders and payments, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. The position also involves assisting with inventory, restocking, and beverage preparation.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of bartending experience or related hospitality experience.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required food handling and alcohol service certifications.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume and demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Deliver attentive and engaging service to guests seated at the bar and in lounge areas.
- Recommend beverages and share knowledge of beverages, ingredients, and menu offerings.
- Enter orders accurately and process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions using the POS system.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking, and preparation of garnishes and beverage components.
