About The Position

The Server serves food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner in accordance with Palette Hotels’ quality standards. The position responds promptly to guest and client requests, provides attentive meal service, maintains service stations and dining areas, and follows applicable health and liquor regulations.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain any government-required licenses or certificates.
• Ability to multitask.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Service orientation and knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and efficiently to guest and client requests.
• Attend pre-shift meetings as needed to discuss service, guest, and hotel expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests quickly and courteously.
• Serve food and/or beverages according to supervisor directions.
• Bus dishes promptly as guests finish each course or at the end of the meal.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check guests’ overall satisfaction.
• Complete assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking supply stations.
• Perform general cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards.
• Follow State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
