About The Position

Denny’s is hiring a Server to welcome guests, provide attentive service, and support a smooth dining experience. The role includes taking and delivering orders, offering menu recommendations and upsells, explaining the Denny’s Rewards Program, maintaining the dining room, and processing guest payments. Servers collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house team members. Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in upselling, menu recommendations, and guest engagement.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a server, waiter, waitress, front-of-house staff member, or in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
Take orders accurately and relay them clearly to the kitchen.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and correctly.
Recommend specials, combos, and popular menu items using upselling skills.
Ask guiding questions to help guests make selections and offer menu recommendations based on their preferences.

Maintain a clean, organized dining room.
Process cash, card, and digital payments efficiently.
Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house team members to ensure smooth service.
