About The Position

As a Server at AC Hotel Palo Alto, you’ll lead each guest through a curated and memorable dining experience. You will offer warm, attentive, and elevated service from seating to farewell. You will present menus, explain offerings, and make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails—including ingredients, pairings, and preparation. You will accurately enter orders in the POS system and communicate special dietary needs clearly. You will deliver and clear food and beverages with efficiency, polish, and attention to timing. You will maintain a well-stocked, orderly service station and ensure seamless table turnover. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen and service team to provide synchronized, guest-centric service. You will resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and grace. You will uphold all sanitation, safety, and responsible service standards.

Requirements

  • Excel in fast-paced, high-touch dining environments
  • Possess a confident, welcoming presence and strong communication skills
  • Deeply knowledgeable in upscale food and beverage service, including wine and spirit pairings
  • Take ownership of the guest experience and anticipate needs before they arise
  • Move with intention, elegance, and urgency
  • Prior serving experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or high-end service environments
  • Reliable, polished, and team-oriented
  • Can lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
