Lifestyle Curator

Persona AI IncHouston, TX
Onsite

About The Position

Persona AI is building in Houston and Pensacola — and we need someone who will make these cities feel like a destination, not a compromise, for every person who joins us. We’re hiring a Lifestyle Curator to be our biggest internal evangelist for both: the person who knows every great restaurant opening, every can’t-miss festival, every neighborhood worth exploring, and every experience that makes Houston and Pensacola two of the most underrated places in America to live and build a career. This is not a traditional HR or events coordination role. You will sit down 1-on-1 with every new hire — many arriving from San Francisco, Seattle, or Boston — learn who they are, what they care about, and build them a personalized roadmap to their new city (Houston or Pensacola) that makes it feel like home. Fast. You will also plan and execute our internal events calendar and maintain a pulse on everything happening across both cities so our employees are always the first to know. We’re looking for someone with roughly 3–8 years of experience — enough to have real relationships with venues and organizers in Houston and/or Pensacola and know how to execute, but still energized and plugged into what’s happening in these cities right now.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, hospitality (hotel, restaurant, or venue), city tourism, lifestyle media, or a closely related field
  • Deep roots in Houston with established relationships across venues, organizers, and the city’s social and cultural scene
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage an events calendar, vendor relationships, and a new hire follow-up schedule simultaneously without dropping anything
  • Naturally charismatic and energized by people; genuinely looks forward to 1-on-1 time with new hires, rather than seeing it as a task
  • Able to transition between scrappy and polished tasks; comfortable planning last-minute team outings

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or genuine enthusiasm for tech, AI, or robotics — enough to speak credibly about what Persona AI is building when pitching the company to candidates or new hires.
  • Content creation skills — writing, photography, or social media — to help produce the internal city digests and recruiting materials.
  • Personal experience relocating to Houston or Pensacola from another city — you know firsthand what that transition feels like and what would have made it easier.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a personal 1-on-1 “City Intake” with every new hire within their first week.
  • Build a custom roadmap ahead of the meeting, using questionnaire responses — neighborhoods, restaurants, events, social scenes, and colleagues with similar interests — tailored specifically to who they are, where they came from, and what they said they’re looking for.
  • Follow up at 30, 60, and 90 days to check in, refresh recommendations, and help each person go deeper into the city as they settle in.
  • Maintain a constantly updated knowledge of what’s happening across Houston and Pensacola, including food, arts, music, sports, nightlife, and culture, segmented by interest and age group.
  • Curate a weekly or bi-weekly internal “What’s On” digest for each city and distribute it across the company, covering events such as Rodeo Houston, the Bayou City Art Festival, Pensacola’s beach and waterfront scene, festivals, underground food pop-ups, and gallery openings in both cities.
  • Build relationships with venues, promoters, restaurants, and event organizers in both Houston and Pensacola to unlock group rates and exclusive access for Persona AI employees.
  • Plan and execute Persona AI’s internal events calendar, including happy hours, team outings, quarterly experiences, holiday events, and milestone celebrations, to foster connections between new hires and tenured employees.
  • Create signature Persona AI experiences that are unique to each city, not generic corporate happy hours, and manage vendor relationships, logistics, and budgets for all company events.
  • Partner with the recruiting team to help pitch Houston and Pensacola to candidates from the cities such as San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, and Boston.
  • Develop city-specific talking points tailored to where each candidate is coming from and what they care about.
  • Occasionally join late-stage candidate calls or in-person visits to offer a genuine, insider’s perspective on living in Houston or Pensacola.
  • Provide a credible, personal pitch that no recruiter script can replicate.

Benefits

  • competitive compensation
  • performance-based bonus
  • 99% employer covered medical benefits
  • early-stage equity
  • competitive PTO
  • company-wide paid winter break between December 24th and January 2nd
