The Curator Archivist is responsible for the daily curatorial operations and management of the SNOMNH Fish Collection. This role involves developing and maintaining the collection and its database, supporting research and exhibition programs, and managing the Fish Collection website, including the online database and image library. The position ensures proper permits and documentation for field collection and the loan and exchange of museum specimens. Additionally, the Curator Archivist will assist curators, faculty, scholars, and students with specimen acquisition and identification for their research, and help organize and prepare presentations and programs that highlight collection materials and research activities. This role also includes training and supervising students, interns, and volunteers, and assisting visitors in utilizing the collection.
