About The Position

The Server at Sunset Grill serves food and beverages to guests and works to ensure a positive guest experience. The role requires good interpersonal skills and knowledge of food and beverage items. Servers must complete TIPS Training on a continuous basis. The position requires walking and standing for most of the shift and involves frequent lifting and carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting, and bending. The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, crowded, and noisy, with possible exposure to secondhand smoke and frequent contact with the general public. The casino operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the employee may be required to work weekends and holidays. Candidates selected for employment must obtain gaming licensure, including completion of background checks and a drug screen, before an offer is extended.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to two years of high-volume service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Good interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food and beverage items.
Ability to walk and stand for most of the shift.
Ability to perform frequent lifting and carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting, and bending.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
Successful completion of required gaming licensure screening, including background checks and a drug screen, before an offer is extended.
