About The Position

The Server provides dining service to residents and guests at The Rushseba Station, helping residents select meals, assisting with seating, and fostering positive relationships. The role supports a welcoming dining environment and helps residents enjoy meals with dignity, joy, and companionship. It also involves maintaining dining and kitchen cleanliness, following safety and infection control procedures, communicating proactively with residents and team members, and attending required training and meetings. The position is part-time, scheduled for 32 hours per pay period from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including every other weekend and some holidays. It is hourly and non-exempt, with overtime eligibility. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and requires no travel.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Proficient in English for effective communication with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.

• Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with seating residents and guests, build positive relationships, and help residents select meals.
• Set and clear tables, arrange seating, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of flatware and glassware.
• Wash dishes and organize clean dishes in designated areas.
• Maintain dining and kitchen areas by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping while following safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate proactively with residents and team members.
• Participate in special projects, assist in other areas of the building, and attend in-service training sessions and team meetings as required.
• Follow emergency protocols.
