About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents and fosters meaningful connections in the community. The role helps residents maintain dignity, joy, and companionship by assisting with daily activities and supporting a safe, comfortable environment. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position at The Rushseba Station, scheduled for 56 hours per pay period from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The position is in the Nursing department, has no travel requirements, and does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
