About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents and fosters meaningful connections within the community. The role assists with daily activities and personal care, supports residents’ safety and comfort, and helps promote dignity, joy, and companionship. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position at The Rushseba Station, scheduled for 16 hours per pay period from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks, promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and provide exceptional care.
