About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents and fosters meaningful connections in the community. The role helps residents with daily activities, supports a safe and comfortable environment, and promotes dignity, joy, and companionship. The position is part-time, scheduled for 16 hours per pay period from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday. It is hourly and non-exempt, with no travel or supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or in a similar role; preferred but not required.
Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification; preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and provide exceptional care.
