About The Position

McMenamins Edgefield is hiring for a Server at the Power Station Pub! McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. We offer seasonal and long-term career opportunities and value Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As a Server, you will handle all tasks from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment. Duties include greeting customers, working with the host station, providing knowledgeable service, taking food and beverage orders, delivering products promptly, serving food and drinks, bussing tables, restocking supplies, using a POS system, collecting payment, dishwashing, general cleaning (indoors and outdoors), maintaining customer relations, and setting up/breaking down service areas. Servers are responsible for balancing bookwork, turning in receipts, and possess mental agility and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card and OLCC card.
Be 21+ years of age.
Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment.
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
Mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous related experience is preferred.
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle all tasks from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment.
Greet incoming customers.
Work with the host station in seating guests or directing them to choose their preferred seating.
Provide knowledgeable service to tables.
Take food and beverage orders.
Deliver products in a timely manner.
Serve food, beer, wine, and spirits.
Bus tables and restock supplies.
Place orders on a POS system and collect payment.
Perform dishwashing and general cleaning, working both outside and indoors.
Maintain customer relations with all guests.
Set up and breakdown of service and work areas so they are well stocked and organized for efficient and safe service.
Balance bookwork at the end of every shift.
Turn in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts.
