About The Position

McMenamins Edgefield is hiring for a Pizza Cook. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington, serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside good, honest pub fare. In general, every McMenamins Pizza Cook will be asked to handle every task from opening to closing of the pizza kitchen. Duties include the manufacture and presentation of all pizza products. In addition, Pizza Cooks may also be required to perform line cooking duties according to business need. This may include salads, hot & cold sandwiches, pasta, hot & cold appetizers, pizzas, as well as weekly specials and sauté & grill items. Each Pizza Cook is responsible for the organization and cleaning of their work area. Being a Pizza Cook can be hard physical work and takes mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. A Pizza Cook must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.

Requirements

Obtain and maintain current food handlers card
Ability to accurately work with numbers, orders and food specs
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a high volume, deadline-oriented work environment
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays required

Responsibilities

Handle every task from opening to closing of the pizza kitchen
Manufacture and present all pizza products
Perform line cooking duties according to business need, including salads, hot & cold sandwiches, pasta, hot & cold appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté & grill items
Responsible for the organization and cleaning of their work area
