About The Position

McMenamins Sunnyside Pub is hiring a Server. Servers handle tasks throughout the operation, from opening to closing, in a multitasking environment. The role involves providing knowledgeable and timely service to guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, processing payments, and maintaining clean, stocked, organized service areas. Servers balance end-of-shift bookwork and submit appropriate cash and non-cash receipts. The work is physically demanding and requires mental agility, effective multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves its own handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card.
• Obtain and maintain a current OLCC card.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Work effectively in a busy, customer-service-oriented environment.
• Have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous related experience is preferred.
• A flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming customers and work with the host station to seat guests or direct them to choose their preferred seating.
• Provide knowledgeable service to tables and maintain positive customer relations with guests.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver products in a timely manner.
• Serve food, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Bus tables and restock supplies.
• Enter orders in a point-of-sale system and collect payment.
• Wash dishes and perform general cleaning.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Set up and break down service and work areas, keeping them stocked and organized for efficient and safe service.
• Balance bookwork at the end of each shift and turn in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts.
