About The Position

Wilderness Resort is seeking a hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer service-driven Server to join its fast-paced team. The Server takes guest food and beverage orders and enters them into a computer for transmittal to kitchen staff. This is a part- or full-time position requiring night and weekend availability. The resort describes itself as family-owned and focused on guest satisfaction and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

Hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, and customer service-driven.
Availability to work nights and weekends.
Meet minimum age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages, as applicable.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and introduce yourself.
Present menus, answer questions about menu and buffet items, and make recommendations upon request.
Inform customers of daily specials.
Check customer identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
Take food and beverage orders and communicate them to kitchen staff by writing them on order slips, memorizing them, or entering them into computers.
Serve food and beverages and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
Complete side work and prepare areas for the next shift.
Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct problems.
Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
Prepare itemized checks, total costs, and collect payments from customers.
Advise a manager of potential concerns or issues related to excessive drinking to help limit problems and liability.
Perform busser duties as needed.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and presentable work environment.
