Server 4pm-7pm $15-23 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Vitalia Solon. This part-time role involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years old, possess good English communication skills, have a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring a safe environment. Arrow Senior Living is committed to diversity and inclusion in its employment practices.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
- Understand that successful meal service requires preparation.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Play a crucial part in making the community something to be proud of.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when residents are absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
