About The Position

The Server provides dining service to residents and guests, helping residents select meals, assisting with seating, and building positive relationships. The role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment, supporting residents’ dignity, enjoyment, and companionship at mealtimes. Responsibilities also include dishwashing, maintaining dining and kitchen areas, communicating with residents and team members, and assisting with other building needs and team activities as assigned. This is an on-call, hourly, non-exempt position eligible for overtime, with no travel or supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with seating residents and guests, build positive relationships, and help residents select meals.
• Set and clear tables, arrange seating, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of flatware and glassware.
• Wash dishes and organize clean dishes in designated areas.
• Maintain dining and kitchen areas by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping while following safety and infection-control procedures.
• Communicate proactively with residents and team members.
• Participate in special projects, assist in other areas of the building, and attend required in-service training sessions and team meetings.
• Follow emergency protocols.
