About The Position

The Server provides assistance with dining service functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role serves resident meals in dining rooms and private dining rooms, and delivers trays to residents’ rooms or apartments. It also includes setting tables, preparing meal trays and dining areas, and completing cleaning duties.

Requirements

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Superior customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous food service experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals promptly and ensure they are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Set tables and prepare meal trays, food cards, and dining areas.
• Serve residents in the dining room and private dining room, and deliver trays to residents’ rooms or apartments.
• Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
